Kim was sick for a while and a new power supply kit has brought her back to life. In a way living without kim was not all that painful as I had imagined before, it was the perfect opportunity to go out and meet some real 3-D Kims
Though I didn’t miss Kim very much, I kinda missed blogging. There was a staggering 760 new entries from all the RSS I had subscribed. That’s a big number to catch up with. Anyways, I can spend some time on it as I am finally connected to the outside world now
( I work online all the time, but for me Office is not the place for blogging).
PS 1: Kim = Acer Aspire 3002 NLC, the rest is for you to figure out.
PS 2 : Don’t waste your energy thinking about “Third-generation logistical contingency”. It’s just three words put together to scare and confuse the readers. I was not able to come up with an apt title for the post, .. Lack of creativity perhaps.

I am currently working for Opera Software in Oslo,Norway and I’ve moved to Norway from India on a temporary basis. Apart from the beauty of this place one thing which has taken me aback is the equality among people. You may not find too many rich people here at the same time you may not find many poor people also. Population of the country is quiet low and to top it, oil has made this place filthy rich which has provided the people with very high standards of living. The minimum wage according to the Norwegian law is always good enough for a decent living here although Oslo is the world’s most expensive city to live in. If you make more money, it is more likely that you’ll be taxed to death.
I’ve studied in a college where the founder, his son and grandchildren were treated as GODS. After *one month* of work, yesterday I realized, the girl who sit next to me at my office is actually the daughter of Opera Software’s founder. Poor girl, so much for the special treatment
. Does the girl know what she is missing ? or is it me who is missing out all Opera news ? Whatever it is, it is amazing to find the way in which people are
treated equally.

Yesterday, I went for Slottsfjell music festival with few iaeste friends. Though a bit late, now I realize the difference between music which you listen through your radio to the one that’s performed live. We got to see live performance of some really popular Norwegian bands and that too upfront and close. Some of my friends even managed to sneak in and came away with an autograph personally signed by the lead guitarist of Enslaved.
Out of all the performance, I enjoyed Marit Larsen and Morten Abel the most. Marit Larsen kinda sounds like the Irish band Corrs and Morten Abel’s music is unlike any thing that I’ve ever heard before. Wonder why these guys are not so popular outside ?

Needless to say, we had a great time and loads of fun
